Streets of Hogsmeads

After a few drinks Willi always hated to fly. He had lost more than one family member in a drunken flying accident and knew that he could very well be next if he continued.

Landing back in Hogsmead Willi began to look back on the strange things that had occurred that night. A day of flying had been what he needed to do,but to top it off he had found that Lucius guy that he had met back in the states.

"And after meeting him in the states I thought that he would be a little less snobby in his own element" he said to himself," and that greasy haired, hooked nose son of a bitch who the hell did he think he was talking to. I should have killed him were he sat. But to be honest were would that have got me but exiled from yet another place."

It had been just under a year since Willi had been disowned by his family. He had tried to kill his youngest sister and had been thwarted by rotten luck. Oh how he missed the states, things were much simpler there. And there he had had three great friends. Maybe just maybe if he could play this whole thing out right he could bring over his life long friend Robin.
Robin and Willi had been friends ever since Willi could remember. They had left for SWI (Salem witches' Institute) the same year and had remained the best of friends though everything that had happened. She shared a lot of the same ideals with Willi, but she hadn't talked to him in about a year.

Robin had always said "that no matter what happened family was the most important thing in life."

Shaking his head to get the memory of the sates out of his head and get back to tonight's events. He had run in to Lucius Malfoy a young arrogant Englishmen a little to snobby for his own good, but hey to each his own. Willi would use him to meet these friends of his and be done with him once he was were he wanted to be, and he would kill the little friend of his at the first chance he got.

It was the afternoon of the 15th, when Rabastan finally showed his face in Hogsmeade. He slunk through the town, reminded of what a dingy little hole it was, and had always been. The letter from Lucius had been rather politic in its descriptions of the man he was to meet, but the young Pureblood's disgust could not quite be concealed, which said quite a bit, considering Lucius's taste in friends.

Babs pulled his hood down another inch, before walking into the Hog's Head. With a nod to the old goatkeep at the bar, he headed for the stairs and knocked at the door indicated in the letter.

He stared at the doorknob as he waited, lost in idle speculation. Odd though it seemed to some, he had a decent respect for a man who could keep himself on a goat's good side, and the barkeep, here, was a prime example. He wondered how difficult it would be to turn old Aberforth's head.

“ ROBIN” Willi shouted when he heard the knock at the door!

He had been dreaming after a night of flying and drinking Willi had gonna to bed not long before. Not sure of where he was Willi started to get out of bed. What had he been dreaming about? The dream already gonna before he could remember.

“What the hell” he wondered “who could this be?”

Slipping on his pants Willi headed for the door.

“This had better not be that Inn keep” he grumbled. "Oh that's enough Badger. Sit Stay good boy" he told Badger his dog.

Willi opened the door with fire in heart for whomever had awakened him “what the fuck do you want Aber.....” surprised and somewhat relieved that it was not in fact Aberforth instead it was a redheaded man that was wearing the most repulsive shirt he had ever seen. And he had seen some bad ones he was from America after all.

“Something I can help you with” He asked cautiously? He waited for a reply fully taken aback.

"It is you who requested our assistance." Babs pushed up the sleeve of his robe and that of the shirt beneath it, to reveal the Dark Mark. "I have been sent to speak with you about your request."

He let the sleeve fall and studied the rumpled American, keeping his own face wholly devoid of emotion, except for the faint gleam of violence in his eyes. The cause of Lucius's annoyance was fairly clear.

A little surprised but not willing show it Willi quickly changed his attitude. So this was the man that, that little snobby S.O.B had put him in contact with. Well not a problem already seemed to be more professional.

"Ahh yes um come on in" Willi replied " can I offer you sometime to drink? Tea? I know that what they love here in this country. can't say I like the stuff coffee's more my speed. Please have a seat. Excuse the mess."

Willi's place was a mess in ruins as some would say. He started water boiling and turned his attention back to the red headed man in his room.

"William Bishop" he stated " friends call me Willi. Sorry for the whole yelling at the door. The inn keeper likes to wake me up before I have to work you know."

He looked at the man wondering just what can this guy possibly do for him. he needed a way into the "dark" community as it was called, and to tell the truth had had no luck even find anyone that new anything. Well with the exception of Lucuis Malfoy and his two little friends of course. You know this guy kind of looked like the red head from the bar. Could they be related? Well anything was possible.

Babs stepped into the room, surveying the disaster area that lay before him. Not quite as bad as Greyback, he thought, closing the door.

"Thank you, no. I need nothing, except your answers." He glanced around for somewhere to sit, before deciding against it. "My name is Rabastan Lestrange, and I will be your only contact, until the Dark Lord makes his decision."

Leaning against the wall, he tucked one hand into his robe, resting it on his wand. "If you like, I can wait until you've had your coffee. I know how you Americans get about your morning cuppa, I do." He sounded tolerantly amused.

"Coffee's not important" Willi replied " you got some questions I have some answers most likely."

Willi looked the man over again noticing his hand in the fold of his robe.

"You know I might actually like this guy." Willi thought.

Badger walked over and sat beside Willi a little protective the dog was, but hey weren't they all?

Babs pulled out a scroll and transcriptionist's quill, setting them up on the dresser beside him. "Interview with one William Bishop -- with an 'h', dammit, not a 'c' -- on June 15, 1974." The enchanted quill scrawled almost as fast as he spoke, and he slipped his hand back into his robes, to where he wore his wand.

"We'll start with the easy bits, Mr. Bishop. Just a smidgen about you and your family. Tell me, what sort of folk were your parents? In specific, what were their politics, and did you like 'em?" His tongue slipped, giving air to a distinctly Irish, rather than English, accent. Consternation flickered across his face.

“Please call me Willi. You say Mr. Bishop and I’m looking for my father. And as for my parents not much to tell really, my mom stayed at home and raised the three of us, and dad well as for him he was a plant manager at some huge factory. We led semi normal muggle lives. Which I hated by the way, seeing as how we could do so much more. Parents didn’t really care for politics as much as living there lives without being hindered, which I have to admit wasn’t a bad concept. No government that is. My very very great grandmother Bridget Bishop was one of the first witch caught and convicted of witch craft in Salem” Willi answered nonchalantly.

Hearing the kettle start to boil he got up to pour him a cup of coffee. Oh how these limy sons of bitches drank tea was beyond him. A great coffee was the answer to all. He turned his back to the man to fix his cup of coffee cream two sugars ohh so perfect.

He turned back and walked back to his chair and sat down think to himself “so this man is Irish is he well hey that is still better than British I guess”

"So, you lived your lives surrounded by Muggles and arranging your affairs to their standards? A bit odd for the family of the first witch burned in the Salem Tragedy." Babs looked carefully perplexed. "What is your opinion on Muggles? How do you relate to them?"

He secretly suspected the man of being a Mudblood, of trying to hide his heritage with foolish tales of witch-hunts. Either way, he and his idiot brother would be verifying that story, before reporting it as true. Roddy had his uses, on occasion, few though they were.

“Hey what can I say after your family was hunted by those bastards you try to adapt and fit in.” Willi stated a little miffed at this questions. After all he had no choice as to where he grew up.

“As for muggles I can’t stand the fucks. I would love nothing more than to hunt them like witches once were in Salem. I was shot by one you know” Willi said blatantly rubbing his shoulder.

What was this Irish men getting at he wondered?

"Tell me about the shooting. What reasons did this Muggle have for shooting you -- not that we'll take them at face, of course, but it's good to know, it is." Babs silently cursed his tongue again, swearing to himself he wasn't going home for the holidays, this year.

“Ok well here is what happened. It was my third year at SWI (uhh that’s Salem Witches’ Institute) and I was in the wood practicing a vanishing spell that I was having trouble with and a couple of the local muggles happened to stumble upon me right as I flicked my wrist and made one of their dogs disappear. Oppps I guess anyhow they gave chase, they started to catch up but I managed to slip away from them with a little luck and a few spells that a very good friend taught me” Willi told the man “ I never did catch your name by the by.”

It took every ounce of will Babs had, not to throw himself out the window in sheer annoyance. "My name," he said slowly, "is Rabastan Lestrange."

Honestly, if some halfwit student had apparated, or worse yet vanished, his dog, he'd probably have taken a shot at the kid, too. Not that he had any fondness for dogs, particularly, but if you substituted 'kneazle' or 'goat', he'd be right in there, having at the soddy cockbagger.

"But, back to the questions. You say you attended the Salem Witches Institute, aye? What sort of skills did you learn, there?" He gave up on the accent, as the need to maintain a respectable face became paramount -- and that he did keep.

“ Well answer to that is quite simple really. I was in the wizard’s program. But to get a little more detailed I would have to say that after the shooting I made it a personal mission to be the best at tracking and pursuit. I vowed to never be tracked again and how better than to be a pro at tracking?” Willi replied.

"So, you're very good at running away, but also a master at following things that are running away." Babs nodded, counting on his fingers to see if he'd missed anything.

"What sort of things do you like doing? Favourite magics, of course, but what are you after for craic -- for fun?" This would, he thought, be the last of the first interview. Some people he was willing to sit with for hours, drawing out their every story. This was not one of them.

“Running no I no longer run unless there is something to be gained from it. But tracking I dare you to find someone that is better. And to tell you the truth I have fun fucking with muggles turning them on each other and such. And as far as magics go I have to say the fun ones” Willi commented no really wanting to tell this guy everything at this point.

"The fun ones." Babs snorted. "The Dark Lord will want more than that, but that can be left for another day."

He stuck the quill back into an improbable pocket and waved the parchment to dry it. "This should be sufficient overview for the next step. We will contact you by owl, sometime in the next week or so."

Rolling the scroll, he tucked it into his sleeve, and stepped toward the door. "Did you have any last questions, before I go make my report?"

"None that I can think of at the moment" Willi replied get up from his chair.

"I'll be waiting to hear from you" he said as he let the man out.
Closing the door he thought well that could have gone a lot worse.

Now to see about the pig sty that was his room. How in the hell had he let it get so bad? He had been raised a lot better than that. setting his mind to he went about cleaning his room he only had a little time before he had to be to work and if this afternoon was any indication then it was going to be a very long night.
